Frequently Asked Questions

I only want to see a few of the houses, what ticket should I buy?

If the event sells out there will be no single-entry tickets available. If we offer single-entry tickets on the day, they will only be available at selected properties at $20 each.

How do I get my tickets?

Your event ticket(s) will be emailed to you separately when you purchase a ticket online. Please print the ticket(s) and bring with you the day of the event. Each ticket has a unique number and a bar code, which will be exchanged for a wristband on the day.

Will tickets be available on the day of the event?

Unless sold out prior, tickets will be available to purchase on the day at the school from 10:30am at $55. Tickets include entry to all properties, afternoon tea, event booklet, shuttle buses and a gift bag.

The event has sold out the last three years we highly recommend advance purchase to avoid disappointment.

Afternoon Tea:

Do I need to attend afternoon tea at a specific time?

Afternoon tea is served to our guests at any time from 11.30 to 4.30 in the School Multi-Purpose Room.

Do you serve Gluten Free afternoon tea options?

We do offer options for Gluten free guests, please request this when you get to afternoon tea.

Where do I catch the shuttle buses? Do I have to start at the school?

You don't need to start your day of touring at the school. You can catch a shuttle bus from any of the properties.

Why not start at one of the properties, catch a shuttle bus when you are finished and enjoy afternoon tea part way through your day?

Do I have to catch the shuttle buses or can I drive myself?

You can drive yourself to the properties; note however, that we cannot guarantee parking close to homes.

Gift Bags:

Where do I collect my gift bag?

Gift bags are available for collection at the school as sign posted. Gift bags are not available at the properties.

When do I collect my gift bag?

Gift bags can be collected between 11.30 and 4.30. We recommend you collect your gift bag from the school at the end of the day, or alternatively at the start of the day and leave in your car. You may find it awkward and cumbersome to take them on the shuttle buses and you will be asked to leave them at the front of each property, if you do, please avoid leaving any valuables in them.

Footwear and personal belongings:

Will I need to remove my shoes?

You may be asked to remove your shoes and socks before entering some of the properties, particularly if it is wet. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes that are easy to slip on and off (please no stilettos) and that you bring a bag to put your shoes in to carry around the house.

What should I bring?

Please limit what you bring with you. We recommend a small bag with essentials for the day. For the safety of the houses and the comfort of other guests you will be asked to leave large bags and umbrellas at the front door.

Can children attend?

We are sorry but there is no admittance to children and babies under 13. The only exception is for young babies who are permitted in a baby carrier facing inward towards the person holding them.

What happens in poor weather?

The event will be held regardless of the weather. If it is wet you will be asked to remove shoes and leave umbrellas outside as instructed by each of the house captains.

How do I find out more information about each property or a specific feature or item within a property?

Please contact us directly after the event with your questions. We are happy to pass on your enquiries to the property owners.

We hope you have a wonderful day. If you have any questions that are not answered above please contact us.
